In 1743 naar ontwerp van de toenmalige stadsarchitect Ary van Bol'Es ter plaatse van een oudere voorganger voltooid doelengebouw, genaamd St. Jorisdoelen en opgetrokken in baksteen op een rechthoekige plattegrond met twee bouwlagen en kapverdieping onder met blauwe pannen gedekte mansardekap en een dwarse aanbouw aan de achterzijde ter hoogte van een bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een halve mansarde kapconstructie.
De vijf vensterassen brede voorgevel heeft een in Lod. XIV-trant omlijste ingangspartij met gebeeldhouwde deur in het midden en boven het bovenlicht het opschrift ST. JORISDOELE. De voorgevel bevat voorts op de beganegrond zesruits-schuifvensters, op de verdieping twaalfruits-schuifvensters, in de mezzanino negenruits-schuifvensters, alle met hardstenen onderdorpels, voorts een rechte kroonlijst. De linkerzijgevel bevat ondermeer een zij-ingang en een drietal schuifvensters met zesruitsbovenlichten beneden en op de verdieping twee zesruits-schuifvensters en twee T-vensters.
De rechterzijgevel bevat ondermeer twee zij-ingangen en twee schuifvensters beneden, een drietal vierruitsschuifvensters en twee later tot deur gewijzigde openingen op de verdieping; beide zijgevels bevatten voorts staafankers en in het achterdeel lage tweelichten. De aanbouw bevat aan de achterzijde voorts een ingang in het midden en twee schuifvensters te weerszijden.
Midden-achttiende-eeuws pand van algemeen belang wegens de voor de tijd van ontstaan en het werk van de Schiedamse stadsarchitect Ary van Bol'Es kenmerkende sobere architectonische vormgeving met Lod. XIV-detaillering en de vroegere functie van doelengebouw.

In 1743 completed militia hall, named St. Jorisdoelen, erected on the site of an older predecessor according to the design of the then city architect Ary van Bol'Es and built of brick on a rectangular ground plan with two storeys and attic storey under a mansard roof covered with blue tiles and a transverse annexe at the rear at the height of one storey and an attic storey under a half mansard roof truss structure.
