Inleiding
KANTOORGEBOUW van een distilleerderij, in 1915 gebouwd naar ontwerp van de architecten Vink en Gort in de trant van de Neo-Hollandse Renaissance. Het representatieve kantoor is gebouwd ten tijde van een uitbreiding van de distilleerderij.
NB: De achterliggende, voormalige distilleerderij, een langgerekt gemetseld rechthoekig volume van 16 meter diep en drie bouwlagen met kapverdieping, is momenteel in gebruik als meubeltoonzaal en inwendig volledig verbouwd.
Omschrijving
Het kantoorgebouw is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond in baksteen in staand verband en bestaat uit een bouwlaag en een kapverdieping onder een schilddak. Aan de voorzijde bevindt zich een centraal geplaatste, grote steekkap met trapgevel.
De voorgevel is vijf vensterassen breed en voorzien van gecementeerde speklagen, hoekblokken en geprofileerde lijsten. De vier houten kruisvensters zijn voorzien van luiken in de benedenvlakken en glas-in-loodramen in de bovenvlakken. Boven de vensters en entree bevinden zich gemetselde korfbogen voorzien van gecementeerde blokken.
In de tweede as van links bevindt zich de entreepartij, met een geprofileerde houten deur met trekbel, en boven- en zijlicht. In de boogtrommel een relief met kinderhoofdje, lofwerk en een cartouche met de tekt: 'Oordeel niet Voor 'T Tyd is Dus Weet of Waght'.
Links en rechts in het muurvlak bevinden zich sierankers met krulmotief. De gevel wordt beeindigd door een kroonlijst waaronder een fries van metselmozaiek en mascarons. De hoeken springen uit en zijn voorzien van leeuwenmaskers. In de trapgevel bevindt zich een zesruitsvenster voorzien van glas-in-lood en luiken. De sluitsteen van de korfboog boven het venster is tevens opgevat als console van een toppilaster die opgaat naar de bovente trap en wordt bekroond door een schilddragende leeuw. De trappen zijn afgedekt met geprofileerde lijsten. Aan weerszijden van het venster zijn twee sierankers.
Het schilddak is belegd met donkergrijze rechtsdekkende gegolfde Hollandse pannen. Op beide uiteinden op de nok bevinden zich vierkante, gemetselde schoorstenen. Het kantoor kent nog de oorspronkelijke plattegrond bestaande uit een portaal, L-vormig bediendenkantoor, spreekkamer en tenslotte een privekantoor van twee vensterassen breed, gelegen aan de straatzijde van het pand.
Rechts van het kantoor voert een poort naar de achter het kantoor gelegen, aanpandige distilleerderij.

Description
The office building is erected on a rectangular plan in brick in running bond and consists of one storey and a roof space under a hipped roof. On the front facade is a centrally placed large projecting gable with a stepped gable.
The front facade is five window bays wide and fitted with cemented speckled bands, corner blocks and moulded lists. The four wooden cross windows are fitted with shutters in the lower sections and leaded glass windows in the upper sections. Above the windows and entrance are masonry corbel arches fitted with cemented blocks.
In the second bay from the left is the entrance section, with a moulded wooden door with a bell pull, and fanlight and sidelights. In the voussoir a relief with a cherub's head, scrollwork and a cartouche with the text: 'Judge not Before 'T Time is Thus Know or Wait'.
To the left and right in the wall surface are ornamental wall anchors with scroll motif. The facade is terminated by a cornice beneath which a frieze of brick mosaic and mascarons. The corners project and are fitted with lion masks. In the stepped gable is a six-pane window fitted with leaded glass and shutters. The keystone of the corbel arch above the window is also designed as a console of a top pilaster which rises to the upper step and is crowned by a shield-bearing lion. The steps are covered with moulded lists. On either side of the window are two ornamental wall anchors.
The hipped roof is covered with dark grey right-covering corrugated Dutch tiles. At both ends on the ridge are square masonry chimneys. The office still has the original floor plan consisting of a vestibule, L-shaped staff office, consultation room and finally a private office two window bays wide, situated on the street side of the building.
To the right of the office a gate leads to the adjoining distillery located behind the office.

Former representative office building of a distillery, built in 1915 in Neo-Dutch Renaissance style, of general importance because of its cultural-historical, architectural-historical, character-defining and ensemble value.
