Description

Sint Martinuskerk. Three-aisle Gothic hall church, circa 1400-first half 15th century; west tower 1950. North aisle narrower. On the northwest corner of the longer south aisle stands the heavy southeast corner pillar of a presumably never completed west tower, which in 1511 during a siege was heavily bombarded, in 1532 afflicted by an earthquake and in 1766-'67 was almost completely demolished.
