Inleiding
Halfvrijstaande voormalige pastorie van de Sint Martinusparochie. Het pand is opgenomen in de straatwand met religieuze dienstwoningen aan de zuidzijde van de Sint Martinuskerk. De voormalige pastorie is gebouwd in de stijl van het Traditionalisme met invloed van Neo-renaissance. Het pand werd gebouwd omstreeks 1880 aansluitend aan het oudere, eveneens wettelijk beschermde dekenhuis aan de Grote Kerkstraat 28.
Omschrijving
Voormalige pastorie op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het pand telt twee bouwlagen plus een zolderverdieping met zadeldak en wolfsdak. Het toegepaste bouwmateriaal is baksteen en natuursteen. Speklagen in lichte tint baksteen. Rechthoekige houten vensters met bovenlicht. Rechthoekige houten deur met bovenlicht. Hardstenen dorpelstenen. In de plint kleine halfronde keldervensters. Daken met mulden pannen. Een dakkapel met leien dakje en smeedijzeren nokpion. Rechterdeel voorgevel springt vooruit en loopt uit in een trapgevel bekroond met een nokpion. In het vooruitspringend geveldeel in de eerste en tweede bouwlaag twee vensters met rondboogvormige vulstukken met hierin keramische decoraties. In de trapgevel een venster met aan weerzijden een smalle rondboogvormige nis. Treden van de trapgevel gedekt met hardstenen platen. Vensters in een decoratieve metselwerk omlijsting met hardstenen aanzet- en sluitstenen. In de linkerzijgevel van het vooruitspringend geveldeel in de eerste en tweede bouwlaag smalle vensters. In het terugliggend linkerdeel van de voorgevel in de eerste en tweede bouwlaag een rechthoekig venster met bovenlicht en rondboogvormig vulstuk met keramische decoraties. De linkerzijgevel van de pastorie bestaat uit drie gevelvlakken. Het middendeel en het linkerdeel springen vooruit. Tussen deze gevelvlakken afgeschuinde hoeken. Middendeel van de linkerzijgevel van de pastorie uitlopend in een topgevel met wolfsdak. In het rechterdeel van de zijgevel de voordeur met hardstenen dorpel. Rechthoekige houten deur met bovenlicht. Aan de bovenzijde van deur in de tweede bouwlaag een rechthoekig venster en in de topgevel een klein rechthoekig venster met aan weerszijden drie rondboogvormige blinde gevelvlakken. In het middendeel van de linkerzijgevel een uitbouw in twee bouwlagen afgedekt met een klein zadeldak. Deze uitbouw heeft een afgeschuinde rechterzijgevel. In dit afgeschuinde geveldeel in de eerste bouwlaag een smal hoog venster met hierboven in de tweede bouwlaag een kleiner rechthoekig venstertje. Aan de bovenzijde van dit kleine venster decoratief uitgebouwd metselwerk. In de voorgevel van de uitbouw twee smalle hoge vensters op ongelijke hoogte, in de tweede bouwlaag een kleiner rechthoekig venster en in de topgevel aan weerszijden van het rondboogvormig vulstuk een ronde nis. Het linkerdeel van de linkerzijgevel springt opnieuw vooruit en heeft in de eerste bouwlaag een rechthoekig venster met rondboogvormig vulstuk en in de tweede bouwlag een rechthoekig venster met segmentboogvormig vulstuk. Beide vensters hebben een hardstenen dorpelsteen. De dorpelstenen zijn opgenomen in een bakstenen waterlijst. Aan de rechterzijde heeft dit geveldeel weer een afgeschuinde hoek. In deze afgeschuinde hoek in de eerste en tweede bouwlaag een rechthoekig venster. Aan de bovenzijde van het venster in de tweede bouwlaag decoratief uitgebouwd metselwerk. In de achtergevel aan de tuinzijde aan de linkerzijde in de eerste bouwlaag een grote pui uit omstreeks 1980. Een venster in de tweede bouwlaag is dichtgezet. In de topgevel een rechthoekig venster. De achtergevel aan de rechterzijde is in de eerste bouwlaag eveneens dichtgezet met uitzondering van twee venstertjes. In tweede bouwlaag twee rechthoekige vensters van omstreeks 1980. De structuur van het INTERIEUR is ten dele in tact. De uitmonstering van het interieur is gemoderniseerd.
Waardering
De voormalige pastorie is van algemeen belang en bezit cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van de religieuze bebouwing van de Sint Martinusparochie in de straatwand tegenover de wettelijk beschermde Sint Martinuskerk. Het pand bezit architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de toegepaste bouwstijl en detaillering. Het pand is van historisch stedenbouwkundig belang vanwege de situering in een straatwand met religieuze bebouwing en vanwege de gaafheid, met name van het exterieur en de typologische zeldzaamheid.

Roofs with pantiles. A roof dormer with slate roof and wrought-iron ridge finial. The right part of the front facade projects forward and terminates in a stepped gable crowned with a ridge finial. In the projecting facade section in the first and second storeys two windows with semi-circular arch voussoirs containing ceramic decorations. In the stepped gable a window with on either side a narrow semi-circular arch recess. Steps of the stepped gable covered with hardstone slabs. Windows in a decorative brickwork surround with hardstone springer and keystone courses. In the left side facade of the projecting facade section in the first and second storeys narrow windows. In the recessed left part of the front facade in the first and second storeys a rectangular window with fanlight and semi-circular arch voussoir with ceramic decorations. The left side facade of the parsonage consists of three facade planes. The middle section and the left section project forward. Between these facade planes chamfered corners. Both windows have a hardstone threshold. The thresholds are incorporated in a brick drip moulding. On the right side this facade section has again a chamfered corner. In this chamfered corner in the first and second storeys a rectangular window. At the upper side of the window in the second storey decoratively constructed brickwork. In the rear facade on the garden side on the left in the first storey a large window-and-door opening from around 1980. A window in the second storey is blocked. In the gable a rectangular window. The rear facade on the right side is in the first storey likewise blocked except for two small windows. In the second storey two rectangular windows from around 1980. The structure of the INTERIOR is partly intact. The finishing of the interior has been modernised.

The former parsonage is of general importance and possesses cultural-historical value as part of the religious buildings of the Sint Martinusparochie in the street front opposite the legally protected Sint Martinuskerk.
