Omschrijving
Uit 1878 daterende, ronde, conische, gietijzeren vuurtoren (hoge licht) naar ontwerp van Q. Harder en uitgevoerd door gieterij D.A.Schretlen & co. De toren is 35 m. hoog, is roodbruin geschilderd en heeft 10 etages. Het onderste gedeelte van de toren is behandeld als een klassiek zuil met basement en in- en uitzwenkende zuilvoet en is voorzien van opgelegde voegen. Rechtgesloten toegangsdeur en rechtgesloten 6-ruitsvensters. Rond het gietijzeren lichthuis met koperen koepel bevindt zich een gietijzeren omgang rusten op opengewerkte gietijzeren consoles en voorzien van balustrade. Op het basement een gedenkplaat. Description
Dating from 1878, a round, conical, cast-iron lighthouse (upper light) to the design of Q. Harder and executed by the foundry D.A. Schretlen & co. The tower is 35 m. high, is painted reddish-brown and has 10 storeys. The lower part of the tower is treated as a classical column with basement and in- and out-swell column base and is provided with applied joints. Flush entrance door and flush 6-light windows. Around the cast-iron lantern room with copper cupola is a cast-iron gallery resting on open-work cast-iron consoles and provided with balustrade. On the basement a commemorative plaque. Decorated cast-iron stairs, cast-iron basin.
