Omschrijving
Paleis-Raadhuis. Voor koning Willem II in 1847-1849 gebouwd paleis in Engels romantische stijl. Gepleisterd rechthoekig gebouw met vier ronde hoektorens en aan de lange zijden uitspringende middenpartijen. Oorspronkelijk met kantelen, rechthoekige vensters en attiek met vensters; in 1895 verbouwd, nogmaals ingrijpend gewijzigd in 1934, toen de huidige spitsboogvensters aangebracht zijn. Twee vrijstaande lantaarns voor de achtergevel.

Description
Palace-Town Hall. Palace built for King Willem II in 1847-1849 in English Romantic style. Plastered rectangular building with four round corner towers and projecting centre sections on the long sides. Originally with crenellations, rectangular windows and attic with windows; remodelled in 1895, again substantially modified in 1934, when the present pointed-arch windows were installed. Two free-standing lanterns in front of the rear facade.
