Omschrijving
Sobere, vroeg 19e eeuwse Doopsgezinde Vermaning (datumsteen 28 junij 1828), op rechthoekige plattegrond. Het gebouw dat aan de voorgevel gotiserende elementen vertoont, is opgetrokken uit baksteen; alleen de voorgevel is van een blokvormige bepleistering voorzien. De brede puntgevel wordt aan beide zijden beëindigd door hoekpilasters met profilering. In het gevelvlak twee blindnissen met driepasmotief en breed rondboogvensters met houten tracering, welk laatste type venster ook is toegepast in de zijgevels. Vooruitstekend gepleisterd ingangsportaal met hoekpilasters met verzonken velden en bekroningen; de ingang is gevat binnen boog met driepasmotief. Eenvoudig geprofileerde goot; staafankers. Voorts twee stenen met opschrift, respectievelijk: DEERSTESTEENGELEGD DOOR CHOVENSGREVE 28 JUNIJ 1828 en: IMMANUEL Ao 1630 Inwendig enig 19e eeuws meubilair bestaande uit banken, preekstoel en orgeltje op galerij. Het terrein wordt begrensd door een eenvoudig ijzeren hek met bekroning van even geprofileerde punten en franse lelies. De orgelkas is gebouwd ca. 1735. Het bijbehorende instrument werd overgeplaatst naar de Geref. Kerk te Winsum (Fr.) toen Bakker en Timmenga in 1896 een nieuw eenklaviers orgel in het oudere kastje plaatsten.

Description
Austere, early 19th century Mennonite Meeting House (date stone 28 June 1828), on rectangular floor plan. The building, which displays gothicizing elements on the front facade, is built of brick; only the front facade is provided with a blocky plaster coating. The broad pointed gable is ended on both sides by corner pilasters with profiling. In the facade plane two blind niches with three-foil motif and broad round-arch windows with wooden tracery, which latter type of window is also applied in the side facades. Projecting plastered entrance portal with corner pilasters with sunken fields and cresting; the entrance is set within an arch with three-foil motif. Simply profiled gutter; staff anchors. Furthermore two stones with inscription, respectively: THEFIRSTSTONELAID BY CHOVENSGREVE 28 JUNE 1828 and: IMMANUEL Ao 1630. Internally some 19th century furnishings consisting of benches, pulpit and small organ on gallery. The grounds are bounded by a simple iron fence with cresting of equally profiled points and fleurs-de-lis. The organ case was built ca. 1735. The associated instrument was transferred to the Reformed Church at Winsum (Fr.) when Bakker and Timmenga in 1896 placed a new single-manual organ in the older case.
