Omschrijving
St. Gummarus, 1900-1902, P.J.H.Cuypers. Bouw geleid door J.Th.J.Cuypers en Jan Stuyt, die het voorontwerp uit 1899 ingrijpend wijzigden. Driebeukige basiliek met centraliserende plattegrond, die zich door toevoeging van kapellen naar het transept toe verbreedt. Zware ronde kruisingstoren, geflankeerd door vierkante hoektorentjes. Driedelige vensters, rechthoekige pijlers en scheibogen. Netgewelven over de hoofdbeuken. St. Gummarus, 1900-1902, P.J.H. Cuypers. Construction directed by J.Th.J. Cuypers and Jan Stuyt, who substantially modified the preliminary design from 1899. Three-aisle basilica with centralizing floor plan, which widens through the addition of chapels towards the transept. Heavy round crossing tower, flanked by square corner turrets. Tripartite windows, rectangular pillars and arcading. Net vaults over the main aisles. The structural elements in the interior are executed as fair-faced work in yellow brick, the wall surfaces are plastered. Restored after severe war damage 1949-1950. Bell-cote with bell by Gebr. Van Bergen, Midwolda, station clock from 's Hertogenbosch, c.1920, diameter 33 centimetres.
