Omschrijving
Uit het midden van de 19e eeuw daterend hoog gelegen gepleisterd LANDHUIS met zuilenportieken aan de voor- en achtergevel, het geheel gesitueerd op vrijwel rechthoekige plattegrond, waarboven drie bouwlagen onder met pannen gedekte zadeldaken en afgeknotte schilddaken.
De symmetrisch opgezette neo-classicistische villa met een evenwichtige opbouw en door horizontale lijsten gelede gevelvlakken, bezit aan de voorgevel een dubbele zuilenportiek van tweemaal zes natuurstenen Ionische zuilen op een bordes van tien treden; deze zuilen zijn afkomstig van de in 1846 afgebroken colonnades van het huis "De Voorst" te Eefde; het fronton is na 1945 aangebracht. De middenrisaliet achter de portiek heeft zowel op de bel-etage als op de verdieping Ionische pilasters waartussen drie openslaande deuren met T-indeling; op de verdieping is een balustrade aanwezig; terzijde van de portiek is de vooruitspringende muur geleed door blinde rondboognissen. De gevels aan weerszijden van de middenrisaliet hebben elk twee T-vensters op de beletage en op de verdieping, terwijl in het souterrain twee lage vensters zijn aangebracht; voor de beide vensters op de bel-etage bevindt zich een balustrade; aan beide zijden van deze gevelvlakken zijn pilasters aanwezig met verkroppingen ter hoogte van de horizontale lijsten. Te rechter- en linker zijde kent het huis op de bel-etage driezijdig beëindigde uitbouwen, waarvan slechts die aan de rechter zijde een souterrain bezit; de uitbouwen zijn op de bel-etage gedekt door een plat dak, waarop aan de rechter zijde een spijlenhek (het plat aan de linker zijde is niet omheind); de zijden van de driekantige beëindiging zijn elk voorzien van twee geknikte pilasters waartussen vensters met bovenlicht; de rechter uitbouw verschild in zoverre van de linker dat de pilasters aan de rechter uitbouw zijn voorzien van kapitelen en boven de vensters in een verdiepte segmentboog een voluten-ornament is aangebracht; de linker uitbouw mist zowel de kapitelen als het ornament; boven de uitbouwen is in het gevelvlak een T-venster, respectievelijk een T-deur aangebracht. Het fronton boven de portiek is afgedekt door een zadeldak, overigens is de bekapping als afgeknot schilddak uitgevoerd, waarbij achter het zadeldak boven de portiek, nog een tweede hoger zadeldak is geplaatst; het grote afgeknotte schilddak dekt ook de voorzijde van het uiterst rechtse deel van het huis (op de achterzijde bevindt zich een plat dak), terwijl het meest linkse deel van het huis afzonderlijk is gedekt door een niet afgeknot schilddak.
Tegen de rechter zijgevel is zowel op souterrainhoogte als op die van de bel-etage een rechthoekige uitbouw aanwezig, met respectievelijk een steektrap en een trapbordes; in het souterrain bevindt zich een deur in het midden van de gevel en een venster aan beide zijden; de toegang op de bel-etage is voorzien van een openslaande T-deur en op het bordes is een leuning geplaatst; deze uitbouw is aan de bovenzijde ter hoogte van de verdieping voorzien van een plat dak met spijlenhek, toegang tot dit platte dak geeft een openslaande deur met bovenlicht. Op de bel-etage zijn T-vensters aanwezig, twee rechts van de uitbouw en een links ervan; de uitbouw bezit rechthoekige blindnissen in de zijmuren; op de verdieping zijn rechts twee zes-ruits vensters aanwezig en links een venster zonder verdeling.
De achtergevel heeft slechts een zuilenportiek op een geringe verhoging ter hoogte van de bel-etage; zes Ionische zuilen ondersteunen het hoofdgestel; tussen de zuilen is een hek geplaatst; boven de portiek verheft zich een blinde muur waartegen een portaal is aangebracht met aansluitend een brandtrap; achter in de portiek zijn zes Ionische pilasters te vinden, waartussen twee openslaande T-deuren; onder, rechts en links van de portiek zijn ter hoogte van het souterrain twee lage vensters aanwezig, met rechts op enige afstand een trap en rechts en links een hekwerk; rechts van de middenrisaliet zijn op de bel-etage vier kleine vensters aangebracht; ter belichting van het daar aanwezige trappehuis is een dubbel acht-ruits venster tussen de beide bouwlagen in, en een dubbel vier-ruits venster op de verdieping geplaatst; voorts is er op de verdieping nog een dubbel acht-ruits venster. De bel-etage van de uitbouw aan die zijde is voorzien van een trapje naar een enkele deur met bovenlicht en twee aansluitende vensters, eveneens met bovenlicht, in de rechte zijde; in de beide schuine zijden bevindt zich ook een venster met bovenlicht; op de lage verdieping van de uitbouw is een dubbel acht-ruits venster aangebracht; links op de gevel is nog een rudiment van een pilaster te zien. Het gevelgedeelte links naast de middenrisaliet kent op de bel-etage twee T-vensters en op de verdieping twee zes-ruits vensters; rechts en links sluiten pilasters met verkroppingen op de horizontale lijsten het gevelvlak af. Tussen de driekantige uitbouw en voornoemde gevel is ter hoogte van de beletage een trapje met afdekking aan de bovenzijde toegevoegd, dat toegang geeft tot de deur met bovenlicht die is aangebracht in de schuine zijde; in het midden van de uitbouw is een T-venster op de bel-etage geplaatst en een zes-ruits venster op de verdieping; aan de linker zijde van de uitbouw zijn geen vensters aanwezig.
De linker zijgevel bezit een middenrisaliet met een trapje dat leidt naar een ingangsportiek met dubbele deur op de bel-etage; op de verdieping is een T-venster aanwezig. Rechts van deze risaliet is slechts op de verdieping een T-venster aanwezig; links van de middenrisaliet is op de bel-etage een venster met bovenlicht aangebracht nabij de risaliet, en een smal venster met bovenlicht nabij de driezijdige beëindiging; op de verdieping is nog een T-venster te vinden.
Aan de voorzijde van het huis is een gietijzeren hek geplaatst.

Dating from the mid-19th century, a high-situated plastered COUNTRY HOUSE with columned porticoes on the front and rear facades, the whole situated on an approximately rectangular floor plan, above which three storeys under pantile-covered gabled roofs and truncated hipped roofs.
The symmetrically arranged neo-classical villa with a balanced composition and facade surfaces articulated by horizontal mouldings, possesses on the front facade a double columned portico of twice six natural stone Ionic columns on a platform of ten steps; these columns originate from the colonnades of the house "De Voorst" at Eefde demolished in 1846; the pediment was added after 1945. The central projection behind the portico has Ionic pilasters on both the piano nobile and the upper storey, between which are three glazed doors with T-shaped glazing bars; on the upper storey there is a balustrade; beside the portico the projecting wall is articulated by blind round-arched recesses. The facades on either side of the central projection each have two T-windows on the piano nobile and on the upper storey, while in the basement two low windows are installed; in front of both windows on the piano nobile there is a balustrade; on both sides of these facade areas pilasters are present with stepped projections at the height of the horizontal mouldings. On the right and left sides the house has on the piano nobile three-sided terminating projections, of which only that on the right side has a basement; the projections are on the piano nobile covered by a flat roof, on which on the right side a balustrade (the flat on the left side is not enclosed); the sides of the triangular termination each have two curved pilasters between which are windows with fanlights; the right projection differs in that the pilasters on the right projection are provided with capitals and above the windows in a recessed segmental arch a volute ornament is applied; the left projection lacks both the capitals and the ornament; above the projections in the facade a T-window, respectively a T-door is installed. The pediment above the portico is covered by a gabled roof, otherwise the roof covering is executed as a truncated hipped roof, whereby behind the gabled roof above the portico, a second higher gabled roof is placed; the large truncated hipped roof also covers the front of the far right part of the house (on the rear side there is a flat roof), while the far left part of the house is separately covered by a non-truncated hipped roof.
Against the right side facade there is both at basement level and at that of the piano nobile a rectangular projection, with respectively a steep staircase and a landing platform; in the basement there is a door in the middle of the facade and a window on both sides; access on the piano nobile is provided with a glazed T-door and on the platform a handrail is placed; this projection is at the top at the height of the upper storey provided with a flat roof with balustrade, access to this flat roof is given by a glazed door with fanlight. On the piano nobile T-windows are present, two to the right of the projection and one to the left of it; the projection has rectangular blind recesses in the side walls; on the upper storey on the right two six-pane windows are present and on the left a window without glazing bars division.
The rear facade has only a columned portico on a slight elevation at the height of the piano nobile; six Ionic columns support the entablature; between the columns a fence is placed; above the portico rises a blind wall against which a portal is attached with an adjoining fire escape; behind in the portico are six Ionic pilasters, between which are two glazed T-doors; below, right and left of the portico at the height of the basement two low windows are present, with on the right at some distance a staircase and right and left a railing; to the right of the central projection are on the piano nobile four small windows installed; for the lighting of the staircase located there a double eight-pane window between both storeys and a double four-pane window on the upper storey are placed; moreover on the upper storey there is still a double eight-pane window. The piano nobile of the projection on that side is provided with a small staircase leading to a single door with fanlight and two adjoining windows, also with fanlights, in the straight side; in both sloped sides there is also a window with fanlight; on the low upper storey of the projection a double eight-pane window is installed; on the left on the facade a remnant of a pilaster is still visible. The facade section to the left next to the central projection has on the piano nobile two T-windows and on the upper storey two six-pane windows; right and left pilasters with stepped projections on the horizontal mouldings close off the facade area. Between the triangular projection and aforementioned facade at the height of the piano nobile a small staircase with roof coverage at the top has been added, providing access to the door with fanlight installed in the sloped side; in the middle of the projection a T-window on the piano nobile is placed and a six-pane window on the upper storey; on the left side of the projection no windows are present.
The left side facade has a central projection with a small staircase leading to an entrance portico with double door on the piano nobile; on the upper storey a T-window is present. To the right of this projection only on the upper storey a T-window is present; to the left of the central projection on the piano nobile a window with fanlight is installed near the projection, and a narrow window with fanlight near the three-sided termination; on the upper storey another T-window is to be found.
On the front of the house a cast-iron fence is placed.
Characteristic plastered 19th-century neo-classical country house with columned porticoes on the front and rear facades and a balanced composition, which as such is of importance on account of architectural-historical value.
