American Hotel, van 1898-1900 door W.Kromhout en W.G.Jansen gebouwd in een nog bij de richting van Berlage aansluitende, maar door toepassing van vele galerijen, erkers, balkons, dakkapellen enz. veel levendiger trant. Merkwaardige hoektoren met ronde klokkenverdieping op vierkante onderbouw.

American Hotel, built 1898-1900 by W.Kromhout and W.G.Jansen in a style still adhering to Berlage's direction, but much more lively through the application of many galleries, bay windows, balconies, dormers etc. Remarkable corner tower with round bell storey on square substructure.
