HERV. KERK.
De hervormde kerk is in 1743 opgetrokken ter vervanging van de twee kerken te noorder en zuider-Drachten. In de noordelijke arm van het op T-vormige plattegrond opgetrokken gebouw de ingang waarboven een wapensteen, gevat in Lodewijk-XIV-achtig ornament; hogerop een klein wapensteentje. Boven de noordgevel in het verlengde van het risaliet de houten klokkenspits. In de kerk rijk gesneden preekstoelkuip met trap, achterschot en klankbord; bijbehorend bord, voor de collectezakken. Twee herenbanken, 1744 en 1750; Vier 18e eeuwse zerken. Vier gebrandschilderde glazen door Ype en Jurjen Staak 1743. Orgel met Hoofdwerk en Rugwerk, in 1820 gebouwd door J.A. Hillebrand. Bij de restauratie in 1986 is het orgel (voor de tweede keer) met een vrij Pedaal uitgebreid.

Description
REFORMED CHURCH.
The Reformed Church was erected in 1743 to replace the two churches in north and south Drachten. In the northern arm of the building with T-shaped floor plan is the entrance above which a coat-of-arms stone, set in Louis-XIV-style ornament; higher up a small coat-of-arms stone. Above the north facade in line with the risalit the wooden bell spire. In the church richly carved pulpit bowl with stairs, rear screen and sounding board; accompanying board for collection bags. Two gentlemen's pews, 1744 and 1750; Four 18th-century grave stones. Four stained-glass windows by Ype and Jurjen Staak 1743. Organ with Great Work and Back Work, built in 1820 by J.A. Hillebrand. At the restoration in 1986 the organ was expanded (for the second time) with a free Pedal.
