TERRASSEN TEN OOSTEN VAN HET HOOFDGEBOUW. Een zich tussen het hoofdgebouw en de hertenkamp uitstrekkend terrassencomplex, bestaande uit een ter breedte van het huis bij de oostgevel hiervan aansluitend boventerras, vanwaar aan de zijkanten trappen afdalen naar het niveau van het voorplein, en een benedenterras ter breedte van de middenrisaliet van de oostgevel, dat door een even brede frontale trap met het boventerras en door te weerszijden langs de keermuur van dit laatste afdalende trappen met de hertenkamp is verbonden. De terrassen en trappen hebben natuurstenen, met uitspringende banden gelaagde keermuren, waarvan die van het boventerras getande hoekblokken hebben en die van het benedenterras zijn verdeeld in tussen hoekblokken in rusticawerk gevatte zijrisalieten en een middenstuk, in ieder waarvan zich een rondboognis met boogomlijsting bevindt. Description
TERRACES TO THE EAST OF THE MAIN BUILDING. A terrace complex extending between the main building and the deer park, consisting of an upper terrace adjoining at the width of the house at the east gable thereof, from which staircases descend at the sides to the level of the forecourt, and a lower terrace at the width of the central risalit of the east gable, which is connected to the upper terrace by an equally wide front staircase and to the deer park by staircases descending along the retaining wall of the latter on either side. The terraces and staircases have natural stone retaining walls layered with projecting bands, those of the upper terrace having crenellated corner blocks and those of the lower terrace are divided into side risalits with corner blocks in rusticated work and a centre section, in each of which a round-arched niche with arch moulding is found. The terraces and staircases are furnished with balustrades.
