Omschrijving
BRUG NAAR HET VOORPLEIN. Bakstenen boogbrug met sierende delen van natuursteen, omstreeks 1806 gebouwd door B.W.H. Ziesenis, gewijzigd tussen 1880 en 1884. Brede brug met naar het voorplein omhoog hellend wegdek. De bruggehoofden buigen op de oevers ver naar buiten uit; aan de noordzijde gaan de keermuren over in die van het voorplein.
Brugboog met brede rollagen, voorzien van natuurstenen sluitblokken en geflankeerd door natuurstenen lisenen in rustica blokwerk. Natuurstenen balustrades, die zich over de bruggehoofden voortzetten en aan de zijde van het voorplein overgaan in die van de keermuren van dit laatste.

Description
BRIDGE TO THE FORECOURT. Brick arched bridge with ornamental sections of natural stone, built around 1806 by B.W.H. Ziesenis, modified between 1880 and 1884. Wide bridge with roadway sloping upwards towards the forecourt. The bridge abutments extend far outward on the banks; on the north side the retaining walls transition into those of the forecourt.
Arch with broad courses, furnished with natural stone keyblocks and flanked by natural stone pilasters in rusticated blockwork. Natural stone balustrades, which continue over the bridge abutments and on the side of the forecourt transition into those of the retaining walls of the latter.
