TERRASSEN TEN WESTEN VAN HET HOOFDGEBOUW MET "HAVEN". Een zich tussen het pad ten westen van het hoofdgebouw en de Grote Vijver axiaal voor het eerstgenoemde uitstrekkend tegelijk met het huis ontworpen, omstreeks 1883 gebouwd terrassencomplex, bestaande uit een in het midden door een brede trap onderbroken, als grasveld aangelegd talud aan de oostzijde, een aan de voet hiervan gelegen, in het midden en aan de uiteinden naar voren springend terras en twee aan genoemde uiteinden beginnende, langs de keermuur van de naar binnen liggende gedeelten van het terras afdalende trappen die toegang geven tot vlak boven het water gelegen, van naar dit laatste afdalende trapjes voorziene bordessen, die via poortjes in de zijkanten van het uitstekende middendeel van het terras met elkaar zijn verbonden door een straatje dat achter langs een door dit terrasgedeelte overhuifd haventje leidt. De trappen en het terras hebben natuurstenen keermuren waarvan de naar het westen gekeerde zijden met uitspringende banden gelaagd en met getande hoekblokken in rusticawerk zijn geaccentueerd; de toegang tot het haventje wordt gevormd door een rondbogige opening in de keermuur, gevat in een geprofileerde, met blokken bezette omlijsting. TERRACES TO THE WEST OF THE MAIN BUILDING WITH "HARBOUR". A terrace complex extending between the path to the west of the main building and the Grote Vijver axially in front of the former, designed together with the house, built around 1883, consisting of a slope laid out as a lawn at the east side interrupted in the middle by a broad staircase, a terrace located at the foot of this one, projecting forward at the middle and at the ends, and two staircases beginning at said ends, descending along the retaining wall of the inward-lying sections of the terrace, which give access to landings situated just above the water level, furnished with descending small staircases to this level, which are connected to each other via small gates in the side sections of the projecting middle part of the terrace by a lane that leads behind along a small roofed harbour passage formed by this terrace section. The staircases and terrace have natural stone retaining walls whose westward-facing sides are layered with projecting bands and accentuated with crenellated corner blocks in rusticated work; the access to the harbour passage is formed by a round-arched opening in the retaining wall, set in a moulded edging furnished with blocks. The quay walls and the vaulting of the harbour passage are executed in brick. The embankments, terrace and staircases are furnished with natural stone balustrades.
