Omschrijving
R.K. Parochiekerk van de H. Joannes de Doper. Driebeukige neo-classicistische kerk, uitwendig in sobere baksteenvormen met rondboogvensters, steunberen en eenvoudige toren van drie geledingen met korte naaldspits. Gebouwd in 1852 door P. Soffers. Inwendig Toscaanse zuilen, gedrukte scheibogen, over het middenschip een gestucadoord houten tongewelf en over de zijbeuken gestucadoord houten kruisribgewelven. Het koor wordt inwendig geleed door pilasters met composiete kapitelen. Tot de inventaris behoren: twee zijaltaren, preekstoel, bidstoelen in neo-barokke vormen. Hoogaltaar en neo-renaissancetrant. Van oorsprong eenklaviers orgel, in 1860 gemaakt door de Gebr. Van der Aa. In 1954 uitgebreid en voorzien van electro-pneumatische tractuur.

Description
R.K. Parish Church of St. Joannes the Baptist. Three-aisle neo-classical church, externally in sober brick forms with round-arched windows, buttresses and simple tower of three storeys with short spire. Built in 1852 by P. Soffers. Internally Tuscan columns, depressed cross-arches, over the central nave a stuccoed wooden barrel vault and over the side aisles stuccoed wooden cross-ribbed vaults. The choir is articulated internally by pilasters with composite capitals. The inventory includes: two side altars, pulpit, prayer stools in neo-Baroque forms. High altar in neo-Renaissance style. Originally a single-manual organ, made in 1860 by the Gebr. Van der Aa. In 1954 enlarged and provided with electro-pneumatic action.
