Ammerschans. Gaaf voorbeeld van een in Drenthe en Overijssel in de eerste helft van de 19e eeuw geliefd type deftig vrijliggend huis, in gedenksteen gedateerd 1835. Het op rechthoekige grondslag getrokken witgeverfde bakstenen gebouw heeft lijstgevels; slechts boven de omlijste voordeur wordt de kroonlijst doorbroken door een met een kroonlijst afgesloten middenpartij voor het schilddak. Gesneden voordeur en halfrond bovenlicht; zesruitsvensters in empire-trant, natuurstenen onderdorpels.

Description
Ammerschans. Fine example of a dignified detached house of a type favoured in Drenthe and Overijssel in the first half of the 19th century, dated in a cornerstone 1835. The whitewashed brick building drawn on a rectangular ground plan has cornice-topped facades; only above the framed front door is the cornice broken by a central section closed off by a cornice for the hipped roof. Carved front door and semicircular fanlight; six-paned windows in empire style, natural stone sills.
