MUNTTOREN. Aan het Abdijplein uitgebouwde vierkante toegangstoren tot het Pandhof midden XV. Het zandstenen front vertoont boven de poortboog een baldakijn en een venster met wimberg; het wordt boven de tweede geleding afgesloten door een stenen balustrade met boogfries. Op de hoeken doorlopende steunberen met beeldnissen. In de doorgang vlak kruisgewelf met gebeeldhouwd sluitstuk met de Christusgestalte, rustende op draagstenen met de symbolen der vier Evangelisten. Gesmeed ijzeren vullingen in de deuren.

Description
MINT TOWER. Square entrance tower to the Pandhof, mid-15th century, built out at Abdijplein. The sandstone front shows above the gate arch a baldachin and a window with a gable; it is closed above the second stage by a stone balustrade with arch frieze. Continuous buttresses on the corners with sculptured figures. In the passage a flat cross vault with sculpted keystone bearing the figure of Christ, resting on corbels with the symbols of the four Evangelists. Wrought iron fillings in the doors.
