Omschrijving
Oorspronkelijk Abtswoning, later vergader- en dienstruimten Provinciale Staten. Bakstenen gebouw, de gevel aan het Abdijplein bekleed met natuursteen, eerste kwart zestiende eeuw. Gelijkvloers open galerij met Tudorbogen van zandsteen en kruisgewelven met bladkapitelen; de pijlers tussen de bogen hebben de vorm van steunberen. Verdieping met kruiskozijnen en dakkapellen met kruiskozijnen. In deze gevel rechts een gebeeldhouwde natuurstenen poort met het wapen van Zeeland, 1679. Inwendig na de brand van 1940 vernieuwd.

Description
Originally Abbot's residence, later meeting and service rooms Provincial States. Brick building, the façade on Abdijplein faced with natural stone, first quarter sixteenth century. Ground floor open gallery with Tudor arches of sandstone and cross vaults with leaf capitals; the pillars between the arches are in the form of buttresses. First storey with cross windows and roof dormers with cross windows. In this façade to the right a carved natural stone doorway with the coat of arms of Zeeland, 1679. Interior renewed after the fire of 1940.
