In de stadsuitleg naar ontwerp van Thomas Romein rond 1870 ontstaan twee bouwlagen tellend, witgepleisterd en van getrokken voegen voorzien, blokvormig pand onder met platte friese pannen gedekt afgeknot schilddak; brede middenrisaliet en twee afgeschuinde hoeken, afgezet met pilasters met verdiepte velden.
Rechtgesloten T-vensters waarboven segmentvormig geprofileerde lijst met en zonder krul; voor de balkondeuren der verdieping eenvoudige hekjes. Gekorniste kroonlijst met bewerkt fries en gootlijst op consoles. Dakkapel met rond venster in geprofileerde omlijsting. Voor het huis eenvoudig gietijzeren hek.

Description
In the urban extension designed by Thomas Romein around 1870 created blocky building of two storeys, white-plastered and provided with struck joints, under truncated hipped roof clad with flat Frisian tiles; broad central projection and two bevelled corners, marked with pilasters with recessed fields.
Rectangular closed T-windows above which segmental profiled moulding with and without curl; in front of the balcony doors of the storey simple railings. Corniced cornice with worked frieze and drip moulding on consoles. Roof dormer with round window in profiled frame. In front of the house simple cast-iron railing.
