Omschrijving
Voormalig fabrieksgebouw voor het verwerken van tabak (Willem II) waarvan het oudste, noordelijke gedeelte dateert uit 1897 en de in aangepaste stijl opgetrokken oost- en westvleugel dateren uit 1907. Vlakgedekt, in schoon metselwerk opgetrokken pand met twee verdiepingen op rechthoekige plattegrond met uitspringende 8-zijdige traptoren op de noordwesthoek en middenrisaliet in oudste gedeelte van de westgevel.
De begane grond is behandeld als een basement en afgesloten met een forse gemetselde waterlijst, waarboven de verdiepingen geleed zijn d.m.v. lisenen, bij de traptoren hoeklisenen; gevels afgesloten door uitkragende, geprofileerde bakstenen gootlijst, bij het oude gedeelte op enige (voormalige) hoekpunten en de hoeken der traptoren voorzien van arkeltorentje; tussen de arkeltorentjes der traptoren kantelen en borstwering bij middenrisaliet van westgevel; boven het midden van de noordgevel een zes vensterassen breed attiek.
Op de begane grond getoogde vensters (-nissen) met 15-, 20- en 24-ruits ramen en deuren met getoogde of rondgesloten bovenlichten; op de verdiepingen rondboogvensters met 16-, 24-, 28-, 32- en 35-ruits ramen en in de noordgevel zes rondboognissen met twee gekoppelde rondboogvensters met 8-ruits ramen; onder vensters in westgevel gepleisterde velden; in attiek zes rechtgesloten vensters met 25-ruits ramen. De traptoren heeft op de b.g. getoogde vensternissen met 4-ruits raampjes, op de verdieping rondboognissen met 6-ruits ramen, op de tweede verdieping ronde vensters met rozetvormige gietijzeren ramen en is voorzien van gestucte velden met geschilderde leeuwen, festoenen en kronen.
Alle vensters, vensternissen en deuropeningen in het oude gedeelte hebben natuurstenen aanzet- en sluitstenen in de bogen. Vloerconstructie bestaande uit stalen balken, waartussen troggewelfjes en rustend op gietijzeren en samengestelde kolommen. Het complex is gedeeltelijk onderkelderd.

Description
Former factory building for the processing of tobacco (Willem II) of which the oldest, northern section dates from 1897 and the east and west wing built in adapted style date from 1907. Flat-roofed, built in fine brickwork building with two storeys on rectangular plan with projecting 8-sided staircase turret on the northwest corner and central risalit on the oldest section of the west gable.
The ground floor is treated as a basement and enclosed with a substantial bricked drip moulding, above which the storeys are articulated by means of pilasters, at the staircase turrets corner pilasters; facades enclosed by corbelled, profiled brick cornice, at the old section at some (former) corner points and the corners of the staircase turrets provided with small corner turrets; between the corner turrets of the staircase turrets crenellations and breast wall at central risalit of west gable; above the centre of the north gable an attic six window axes wide.
On the ground floor arched windows (-niches) with 15-, 20- and 24-pane windows and doors with arched or semi-closed fanlights; on the storeys round-arch windows with 16-, 24-, 28-, 32- and 35-pane windows and in the north gable six round-arch niches with two coupled round-arch windows with 8-pane windows; below windows in west gable plastered fields; in attic six straight-closed windows with 25-pane windows. The staircase turret has on the ground floor arched window niches with 4-pane small windows, on the storey round-arch niches with 6-pane windows, on the second storey round windows with rosette-shaped cast-iron windows and is provided with stucco fields with painted lions, festoons and crowns.
All windows, window niches and door openings in the old section have natural stone abutment and closing stones in the arches. Floor construction consisting of steel beams, between which trough vaults and resting on cast-iron and composite columns. The complex is partly basement cellared.
