HERV. KERK en TOREN. Fors laatgotisch kerkgebouw met vijfzijdige koorsluiting inwendig zijn de muren verankerd door trekbalken met korbeels en sleutelstukken. In de noordmuur steen uit 1591. De kerk bezit een fraaie 17e eeuwse inventaris t.w. preekstoel met gedeeltelijk koperen leuning aan het portaal; bijbehorend achterschot en klankbord; fragment van een doophek met spijlenzone; drie overhuifde herenbanken, waarvan met opzetstuk met wapens. In het koor en langs de noordmuur eiken banken met paneelwerk, spijlenfries en knoppen. Vijf grote gebeeldhouwde 18e eeuwse rouwkassen, twee ruitvormige rouwborden, epitaaf voor Boucke van Jongema, 1638. Orgel met Hoofdwerk en Bovenwerk, in 1847 gemaakt door P. Radersma. Toren 2e helft 19e eeuw vernieuwd boven bewaard gebleven eerste geledingen. Klokkenstoel met gelui van twee klokken, waarvan één van G. van Wou, 1494, diam. 129 cm. en van replica van de klok van H. Wegewaert, 1611, gegoten door onbekende gieter, VANWEGE het oorspronkelijke opschrift en vijf alliantie- en manne-wapens, diam. 111 cm. Mechanisch torenuurwerk met ankergang, later voorzien van elektrische opwinding.

Description
REFORMED CHURCH and TOWER. Substantial late Gothic church building with five-sided choir closure; inwardly the walls are braced by tie beams with corbels and keystones. In the north wall stone dated 1591. The church possesses a fine 17th century furnishings namely pulpit with partially brass rail at the portal; associated backplate and sounding board; fragment of a font gate with spire zone; three canopied gentlemen's benches, one of which with attached piece with coats of arms. In the choir and along the north wall oak benches with panelled work, spire frieze and knobs. Five large carved 18th century funeral chests, two lozenge-shaped funeral boards, epitaph for Boucke van Jongema, 1638. Organ with Great work and Upper work, made in 1847 by P. Radersma. Tower second half 19th century renovated above preserved first stages. Bell frame with ring of two bells, one of which by G. van Wou, 1494, diam. 129 cm. and replica of the bell by H. Wegewaert, 1611, cast by unknown founder, BY VIRTUE OF the original inscription and five alliance and male coats of arms, diam. 111 cm. Mechanical tower clock with anchor escapement, later provided with electric winding.
