Omschrijving
Brandweerkazerne, gebouwd 1897 door H.Leguyt. Vrijstaand gebouw met verdieping onder dwarsgeplaatst zadeldak met dakkapellen in eenvoudige neo Hollandse Renaissancestijl. Opgetrokken in helder rode baksteen, afgewisseld met donkerder gekleurde banden, op natuurstenen sokkel; hardstenen lijsten. Risalerende zijvleugels elk onder schilddak, met trapgevel, versierd met natuurstenen klauwstukken, balusters en cartouches met diamantkoppen, en stadswapen van Amsterdam. In het midden drie rondbogige ingangen, waarboven twee lantaarns ter weerszijden van de natuurstenen plaat met inscriptie: Brandweer. Aan linkerzijgevel een tot in de dakkapel doorgetrokken erkerpartij. Middenaccent door kleine trapgevel met klauwstukken.

Description
Fire station, built 1897 by H.Leguyt. Detached building with storey under transversely placed gabled roof with roof dormers in simple Neo-Dutch Renaissance style. Constructed in bright red brick, interspersed with darker coloured bands, on natural stone base; hardstone cornices. Projecting side wings each under hipped roof, with stepped gable, decorated with natural stone claw pieces, balusters and cartouches with diamond heads, and Amsterdam city coat of arms. In the centre three arched entrances, above which two lanterns on either side of the natural stone plaque with inscription: Brandweer. On the left side facade an oriel section extending into the roof dormer. Centre accent through small stepped gable with claw pieces.
