Omschrijving
Hetgeen resteert van de historische verdedigingswerken van de stad, met dien verstande, dat daaronder worden gerekend: A.Het noordelijk gedeelte van de wallen gerekend van het bruggetje van Lazonder naar het laantje van Lazonder aan de oostzijde tot aan de uiterste punt van het bastion gelegen aan de noordwestzijde voorbij het ravelijn; met dien verstande dat niet zijn opgenomen de terreinen behorende tot de cartonnagefabriek (stadszijde) en die behoren tot de op dezelfde hoogte aan de buitenzijde gelegen fabriek.
Voor dit gedeelte omvat de bescherming de gracht met de aardwerken, zowel die aan de stadszijde, als de taluds aan de buitenzijde, inbegrepen het ravelijn. Een en ander overeenkomstig bijgevoegde opgave van de kadastrale percelen.
B.Het overige grachtgedeelte omsluitend de west-zuid en oostzijde van de stad, uitsluitend voor zoveel betreft het wateroppervlak nader gespecificeerd volgens bijgaande kadastrale aanduiding.

That which remains of the historical defensive works of the city, with the understanding that this includes: A.
