Omschrijving
PAND met gepleisterde gevels en houten kroonlijst, uitwendig van negentiende-eeuws karakter. In de verdiepingen vensters met zes- en vierruitsschuiframen. Het rechter deel is het voormalige Grote Logement der Heren van Leiden, in 1639 voor dit doel aangekocht, vervolgens door de bouwmeester Arent van 's-Gravesande verbouwd en in 1731 nogmaals gewijzigd. In 1807 aangekocht door de sociëteit 'De Besognekamer' en het jaar daarop verbouwd door P. Mouton. In 1849 uitgebreid met het links aangrenzende pand op de hoek van de tegenwoordige Hofweg, dat in 1867 in dezelfde trant werd verbouwd. Voor de gevels hardstenen stoeppalen uit circa 1870. Van de kelders bezit er een nog het oorspronkelijke tongewelf, de plavuizenvloer en de bekleding van een deel der wanden met groene en rood geglazuurde tegels in een schaakbordpatroon uit de zeventiende of achttiende eeuw.
Het interieur bevat onder meer een grijs-marmeren schoorsteenmantel in Empirevormen, van elders afkomstig. Voorts een stucplafond in Empirestijl.

Description
BUILDING with plastered facades and wooden cornice, externally of nineteenth-century character. In the storeys windows with six- and four-light sash windows. The right section is the former Grand Lodging of the Lords of Leiden, purchased for this purpose in 1639, subsequently remodelled by the master builder Arent van 's-Gravesande and modified again in 1731. In 1807 purchased by the society 'De Besognekamer' and remodelled the following year by P. Mouton. In 1849 enlarged with the adjoining building on the left at the corner of the present Hofweg, which was remodelled in the same style in 1867. In front of the facades hardstone bollards from circa 1870. Of the cellars one still possesses the original barrel vault, the tile floor and the lining of part of the walls with green and red glazed tiles in a chequerboard pattern from the seventeenth or eighteenth century.
The interior contains, among other things, a grey marble fireplace mantel in Empire forms, from elsewhere. Furthermore, a stucco ceiling in Empire style.
