The Department's description

The complex comprises a pair of contiguous single-storey dwellings with abutting outhouses arranged linearly and facing south-east. The group comprises (from left to right as viewed from the front) a two-bay house, a one-bay house, and two one-bay outhouses.

The leftmost house has a gabled roof, slated over the bedroom and sheeted with corrugated metal over the kitchen (which occupies the right-hand bay), and a chimney on the party wall. Its walls are of rendered random rubble, with a single window on the façade of each room (now without frames). The entrance door, on the right of the façade, is housed in a slightly projecting porch with monopitch roof.

The adjacent house has a lower gabled roof of corrugated metal; the fireplace is on the party gable with the first house, opposite the entrance door; it has a single window to the façade.

The outhouses share the same roofline, and are single roomed with no windows.

A building is shown on this site on the 1834 6” OS map.
