The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
One-and-half storey/ five bay dwelling.
Gabled slated roof with two chimneys (one on party wall between the first and second bays on left and the second on the party wall between the fourth and fifth bays at the right).
There are two flat-roof boxed dormers and two skylights to front elevation. Pink-coloured harled walls (probably granite rubble). Central gabled porch contains front door. There are two modern top hung twelve-paned windows on either side of facade.
Grounds landscaped.
Historical information
A building is shown here on the 1834 OS 6” map. The landscaped grounds, which were planted in 1983, are noted in the Heritage gardens inventory. First HMBB survey card states, 'A one and a half storey roughcast house with slated roof and two symmetrically set brick chimneys. Projecting gabled porch flanked either side by adaptation of Georgian glazing. Two new door openings at rear.'
