Historical information
A house is shown at this location on the 1834 OS 6” map.
The first HMBB survey card dated 27th February 1989 describes the building as “thatched three bay cottage with flat concrete roof front porch with corrugated iron roof shed to W gable. White washed concrete block corbelled chimney. Roof is thatched in poor condition to rear with raised gables. Walls are partially lined render and white washed. Windows are four-paned (horizontal glazing bars) sliding sashes and modern top-hung casements on painted stone sills. Entrance door is sheeted with glazed top panel”.
