The Department's description
Exterior description and setting
The segmental arched white limestone rubble bridge dated 1884, which originally formed the entrance to the quarry, has been demolished leaving only a small rectangular chamber in the eastern abutment still standing. Chamber built of limestone rubble with brick dressings to openings; segmental arched doorway in front face; segmental arched doorway and barred window in north end elevation. Grass now growing over exposed top of chamber.
Setting: the chamber stands at the entrance driveway to a quarry which is set back from the main road and stands in a very rural area.
Historical information
Bridge built in 1884 as recorded on an inscribed keystone, recorded in 1970. Substantially demolished since 1970.

This is an industrial site of limited historical interest which has now lost almost all vestiges of its 19th century structures and is of minimal architectural interest.
