The National Monuments Service's description

Situated towards the W edge of the plateau of a NW-SE spur in the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains close to the source of the Boro River, with the NW-SE stream c. 400m to the SW. This is a circular area (diam. 40m N-S; 40m E-W) defined by a large earthen bank (Wth 8-11.7m; int. H 1.8m at S to 2.2m at W), with an external fosse (Wth of top 7-7.5m; D 1-1.4m) surviving W NE. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) is at WSW, and the interior is cultivated as a vegetable garden.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
