The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a S-facing slope. This is a D-shaped, grass-covered area (dims. 37m N-S; 34m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.2-5m; int. H 0.5-0.8m; ext. H 0.6-1.2m) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 4.8-5.7m; ext. D 1.2-1.6m) from an outer bank (Wth 4.2-5m; ext. H 1.3-1.5m) NE-S-NW. The enclosing features are truncated by a WNW-ESE field bank at N. The entrance through the inner (Wth 2m) and outer (Wth 4.5m) banks is at SE. A S-N field bank is attached to the perimeter at SW, which is also altered by quarries at E, SW and NW. Rath (WX018-018----) is c. 80m to the NW.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
