The National Monuments Service's description

Situated atop low rise of ground in area of wet marshy land that has been planted with conifer trees. Large rectangular shaped area (dims. 75m NW-SE; 100m NE-SW) enclosed by a low narrow earthen bank with narrow external fosse. No entrance feature visible. Small rectangular shaped field of post-medieval date due to profile and size of enclosing bank.
