The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on low natural hillock on the edge of wet marshy land which has been partially reclaimed. Post-medieval farmhouse located 70m to NE. Enclosure of post-medieval date which consists of a small circular shaped area (diam. 26m) enclosed by a narrow tree-lined earthen bank now mainly reduced to a scarp with external fosse. No entrance feature visible. Rectangular shaped tree-lined annexe or platform built onto W side of enclosure. This enclosure with annexe appears to be post-medieval in date due to profile and size of tree-lined earthen bank and may be associated with nearby farmhouse.
