The National Monuments Service's description

Situated on a gentle SW-facing slope in the upper Tay river valley with the NW-SE stream c. 200m to the SW. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 50m N-S; 48m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 6-7m; int. H 1.1-1.4m; ext. H 0.7-1.7m) NE-S, which is reduced to an external scarp (H 1.1m) S-NW and incorporated into a field bank NW-NE. An outer berm (Wth 12m) defined by a curved field bank NE-SE, a scarp (H 0.5m) SE-SW and an old stream bed SW-W may indicate the line of an outer bank. The entrance (Wth 3.8m) through the inner bank is at S.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
