The National Monuments Service's description

This may be one of three structures in this area marked on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Located in pasture on a gentle NW-facing slope at the foothills of the Comeragh Mountains. The foundations of a rectangular two-room structure (ext. dims. 11m NW-SE; 6m NE-SW) are visible as indistinct, grass-covered earthen mounds with some evidence of stone wall-footings. There is an entrance (Wth 2m) to the larger room on the NE wall, and from this room an entrance (Wth 0.5m) to the SE room, which also has direct external access (Wth 1m) on its SE wall.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
