The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the base of a severe NE-facing slope of the Comeragh Mountains. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 39m NW-SE; 34m NE-SW) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3-5m; int. H 0.6-1.1m; ext. H 1.8-2m) with traces of external stone-facing. An outer fosse (Wth 3-6m; D 0.4-1.1m) which is slightly round-bottomed NW-SE, does not survive SE-NW where the bank is incorporated into a field boundary. The entrance (Wth 2.5m) is at ENE.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
