The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the base of a severe NE-facing slope of the Comeragh Mountains. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 32m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3-5m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 1-1.4m) best preserved NW-SE, which is incorporated into a field bank elsewhere distorting the shape of the site. The entrance (Wth 1.5m) is at NW. A rath (WA002-031----) is c. 50m to the NE.

The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
