The National Monuments Service's description
Situated at the base of a severe NE-facing slope of the Comeragh Mountains. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 35m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 4.5-6m; int. H 0.2m at NE (downslope) to 0.7m elsewhere; ext. H 1.4-1.8m) with a slightly flat-bottomed outer fosse (Wth of top 5.5-7m; Wth at base 1.5m; D 1.2-1.8m) and an external bank (Wth 3-4m; ext. H 0.5-1m). The entrance through the inner (Wth 2.4) and outer (Wth 3m) banks with a causeway (Wth 4.2m) is at ENE. A rectangular house site (ext. dims. 16.3m x 8m) defined by wall footings (Wth 0.7-1m), with possible entrances (Wth 2m) in each of the long sides, is NW of the centre. A NE-SW field bank incorporates the inner bank W-N. A rath (WA002-030----) is c. 50m to the SW.
