The National Monuments Service's description

On the N side of Burke St., the second house W of the town wall. A massive chimney projects from the W gable, surviving to below the apex of the gable (Craig and Garner 1974, 51). In 1987 a large fireplace, 6 feet x 4 feet (1.8m x 1.2m) constructed of limestone blocks was removed. The building (N wall T 0.8m) has been heightened. The massive chimney may suggest a pre-1700 date for this building.
