The National Monuments Service's description
Incorporated into a farmyard, and bordered by a modern house and garden immediately to W.
Raised circular area (28m N−S; 27m E−W) enclosed by a drystone wall (int. H 0.6m at N, 1.3m at S; ext. H 1.7m at N, 1.2m at S). The wall has been greatly modified as a result of incorporation into later field walls and the farmyard. It varies in width; it is narrowest at W (Wth 1.7m), but elsewhere much of the internal wall face has slumped to a gentle sod-covered slope, giving an overall width in parts at N and S of c. 4m. Short sections of intact internal stone facing are still visible in at SE−S and W. At ENE a portion of the wall has been partly removed, where a modern shed has been built against the external face of the cashel. At E, a gap (Wth 3.2m), now fitted with a modern gate, opens into a cattle yard, which abuts the cashel exterior. There is another gated break (Wth 2.7m) at NNE. A barn stands in the SE quadrant of the interior. Sycamore and hawthorn trees grow around the perimeter.
