The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on a low E−W ridge, with good views, especially to S over a small stream valley.
Slightly raised circular area (24m N−S; 26m E−W) defined by a low, sod-covered stony bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.3m). In parts at SE−S the stone bank is little more than a low stony lip (Wth 1.2m) on top of an earthen scarp. The stone bank peters out at W and is reduced to a scarp at NW−N. Stones protrude from the sod along the NE arc of the bank, possibly part of a kerb or stone facing. A slight depression (Wth c. 2m), possibly a fosse, is evident outside the bank on the W half of the rath. There is no clearly defined entrance, but the enclosing bank/scarp is lowest at S, where there is a low eroded break (Wth 0.6m).
Ground level appears lower or slightly sunken in the NE quadrant. A field wall, on a N−S axis, crosses the rath to W of centre. A small shallow depression (c. 3m across) abuts the W side of this wall in the NW quadrant. A stand of conifers grows in the W third of the interior. A few hawthorn trees grow around the perimeter.
It is difficult to determine if this is a rath or cashel. The enclosing scarp appears to be earthen but the stony bank that tops it may be a collapsed wall.
