The National Monuments Service's description

Located in an area of rough damp pasture.
Not shown on any edition of the OS 6-inch mapping. Listed in the SMR (1991) and the RMP (1997) as possible earthworks based on linear features visible in an aerial photograph SMR file: GSI M 690 -1; Roll 217, pr. 31).
The remains consist of a slightly sunken trackway (Wth 2.8-3.1m) bordered by earthen field banks (Wth 1.8m; int. H 0.35-0.4m; ext. H 0.2m). Intervening between the trackway and the banks are shallow linear depressions (Wth 1.6-2m), probably infilled field ditches. The full extent of the trackway is unclear; above ground remnants can be traced on a NNE–SSW axis for c. 200m between, and a cropmark visible in aerial imagery suggests that it extended for a further c. 100m to NNE.
The date of the trackway is unknown, but it clearly pre-dates the current grid of rectangular fields. Other linear features visible in the aerial photograph correspond to a series of defunct field banks and field drains, also of unknown date.
There is a church (MA071-077001-) and a graveyard (MA071-077002-) c. 180m to E and a motte (MA071-076----) c. 200m to NE.
