The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, in sharply undulating terrain, located on top of a ridge, close to the break of slope on the SW side where ground falls steeply into the flat wet valley of the Gweestion River. There are extensive views also to NW and NE. It overlooks another rath (MA071-135----) which is located on a terrace 40m downslope on the NW-facing slope of the ridge. Another rath (MA071-137----) is located 175m to SE.
Oval platform (34m N-S) defined by a scarp (H 1.1m at S, 1.6m at N). The scarp has been modified to serve as a field fence by being cut to the vertical and faced with stones.
The interior is level. A straight N−S field fence crosses interior from S to centre where it intersects with an E−W fence which extends to W through the NW quadrant.
The E half of the rath is engulfed in blackthorn scrub; hawthorn and hazel trees ring the rath perimeter.
