The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on top of a NW−SE ridge, close to the break of slope on the SW side, where the ground falls away steeply into a broad flat, wet valley; there are excellent views along the valley. Ground falls way more gently to NE, where the views are somewhat restricted now by trees.
A circular embanked enclosure (diam. 25-30m) is shown on 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is not shown on later maps editions. It has been levelled, but the outline of a slightly raised, roughly circular area (c. 31m NW–SE; 27.7m NE–SW) is still visible. The enclosed scarp is levelled to a low undulation around most of the circuit, but a portion at S−SW (H 1.5m) remains quite well defined where it is enhanced by the ridge slope, and a short length (Wth 2.7m; ext. H 1m) on which a hawthorn tree grows is intact at NW. Remnants of a field fence on a NE−SW axis cross the centre of the interior.
