The National Monuments Service's description
In a stand of sycamore and hawthorn, located on a slight rise. There is a farmstead c. 50m to NE. A field system (MA062-118001-) extends to S.
An oval area (11.5m NNW-SSE; 9-10m ENE-WSW) defined by a sod-covered earth and stone rise or bank (3.4-4.4m; int. H 0. 15m-0.7m; ext. H 0.6-1m), with a gap (Wth 2m) at SSE. Flanking the gap, the terminals of the stone bank expand in width. The enclosing stone bank is irregular in width and broadly slumped, especially on the external face where it is enhanced by a natural fall of ground. The interior area appears slightly dished in profile. There is a small heap of loose stones in the W half. Low scarps or remnants field boundaries border the E, S and W sides of the feature.
The nature of this monument is uncertain; it may be a house site. Alternatively, it could be the remains of a vernacular structure, such as a lime kiln, or even just the result of quarrying.
