The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on the level summit of a N–S ridge. At E the ground falls steeply to a flat expanse of damp pastureland, with a small lake, Lough Keeran, immediately to SE of the ridge. There is a more gradual slope on the W side of the ridge. A circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) is not shown on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps. It has been levelled; there is no visible trace at ground level.
