The National Monuments Service's description
In the N half of a rath (MA039-042). Not indicated on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps, but depicted on the 25-inch plan as a roughly square area (max. dim. 8-9m) outlined by a dashed line. It is evident as a roughly oval area (5.5m E–W; 6-7m N–S) defined by a low stony rise or rough ‘wall’ (Wth 1.1-1.4m; H 0.2m) of stones and boulders, some of which appear embedded in the ground. There is a gap (Wth 1.3m) at S, and another (Wth 1.8m) at NNE. It is ringed by hazel trees. This may be the remnants of a house, but it is poorly preserved and its original form, function and date remain uncertain.
