The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, located on top of a low ridge, at the break of slope on the S side, with good views over the surrounding, gently undulating average to wet grassland.
Slightly raised circular area (31m N–S; 31m E–W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.4m; int. H 0.2-0.4M at S, 0.65m at N; ext. H 1.1m at S, 0.85m at N). The bank is quite uniform in width and is notably narrow, with an almost vertical external slope. Immediately outside the bank at SE–W, there is a low terrace or berm-like feature (Wth 2-2.6m) defined on its outer edge by a slight scarp (H 0.2m). The bank is less substantial than the enclosing bank of other raths in this area, and is similar in form to many field banks in the area; it seems likely that it has been modified as a result of incorporation into later field boundaries. An irregular-shaped quarry pit (21m E–W; 16m N–S; D 1.4m) has been dug into the centre of the interior, leaving only a narrow perimeter of undisturbed interior space. There is a heap of stones in the base of the pit. The entire interior, including the quarry pit, has been planted with conifers, now mature. Field boundaries on an E−W axis abut the bank at E and W.
