The National Monuments Service's description

In a clearing within a modern coniferous plantation. Not depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised oval-shaped platform (dims. c. 30m NE-SW; 23m NW-SE) defined by a scarp. Barry (1981, 84) listed the monument as a possible moated site. Faint outline of monument visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
