The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture 150m S of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Ballylooby. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised roughly circular-shaped area (diam. c. 21m) defined by a scarp with fosse from E-S-NW. Intersected at E by a field boundary running NW-SE. Visited by Celie O’Rahilly, archaeologist for Limerick Corporation, in 1994 when described as a raised platform (diam c. 16m) defined by a scarp with fosse and outer bank that was partially levelled. Barry (1981, 84) listed the monument as a possible moated site. Partial remains of poorly preserved monument visible on Google Earth orthoimages. A preservation order was placed on this monument in October 1994.
