The National Monuments Service's description
In level pasture with poor views in all directions, 185m E of townland boundary with Knocknagranshy and 117m S of townland boundary with Kilcurly. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map as a D-shaped area with straight side at W defined by a scarp with building standing on scarp at SW. Earthwork possibly served as an enclosure for the building. Shown on the 1897 ed. OS 25-inch map as a semi-circular shaped area (approx. 27.5m N-S) defined by a scarp from NW to S and intersected by field boundary from SW to NW, the building is no longer visible in SW quadrant. Surveyed by the ASI in 2000 and described as consisting of a semi-circular shaped area (19m E-W) defined by a scarp (H 0.5m) only visible from E to W, the scarp has been incorporated into post-1700 field boundary from W to NW where it is densely overgrown. Site is truncated by a farm track at N and modern farmyard building adjacent to site at N. Monument is visible as an area overgrown with trees on the Google Earth orthoimage taken in 2020.
